Washington, DC’s yoga community is top notch when it comes to giving back. DC’s studios stay true to yoga’s roots. Our studios constantly find ways to connect with the community, and make yoga affordable and accessible for all. In this sense, DC truly brings yoga to the people.
Below is a list of some of the more popular studios that offer free, donation-based, and reduced price yoga classes as part of their weekly schedules. (Disclaimer: This list is by no means comprehensive! Please let us know about any omitted studios!)

Flow Yoga Center – offers donation-only (pay-what-you-can) classes every Saturday at 1:30pm to benefit charities dedicated to making yoga and wellness services accessible to individuals in need. Details: http://www.flowyogacenter.com.
Lululemon Athletica – has five DC metro area locations, and a location in Annapolis, all offering free Sunday yoga classes. Lululemon Athletica also offers free yoga in the park, in Dupont Circle south, every Wednesday at 6:30pm, from May through August. Yoga District – all classes are $10 at this studio’s various locations. Yoga District also partners with Street Yoga, whose mission is to give youth and their caregivers the tools to overcome early life trauma, through the sharing of life-building mindfulness and wellness practices grounded in yoga. Check out Circle Yoga’s Summer Solstice Give Back Yoga benefit class Sunday June 20th at noon. Join us for this tradition within yoga of the practice of Sun Salutations. Practicing Sun Salutations is a way of reconnecting to our own source and honoring the radiance of Surya (the sun). The Mission of the Give Back Yoga Foundation is to support and fund certified yoga teachers in all traditions with Give Back projects.
